Fay Slimm.

Gifts.

Far away on first-fringed beams of morning
rides Ol' Sol's wild horses, rays' white light
moving in sequence as saddling beauty for
Venus gifts pour from her paramour Night.

Stars gathered for dismissal again restored
to heavenly vaults paley wait 'til sanctified
by another ascension where again sought
they display next cavalcade's candle fire.

Passion for his Lady of un-disputable form
sees the Knight lay down won glory while
timed to break now rises victorious Dawn
for with Venus veiled morning can smile.

is Venus the moon and the Knight her ever present Sun? or am I tangled up in your web of sumptuous Poetic ambition and lost in my mere mortal capacity of deciphering,
Poetry with half a step, in a magnificent dreamscape

        • Fay Slimm.

Ha ha - Yes a bit tangled like me L.B. about who is who in this woven imagery of fancy - thank you so much for your visit and read.

The inspiration for both poets and artists alike. Superbly captured .

            • Fay Slimm.

So pleased you enjoyed the read dear Michael - - nothing like a bit of inspiration from Nature.

            • dusk arising

The dawn so beautiful and so inspiring. Wow were you inspired into fluid verse when the light caught you this time around. That's one of the wonderous things we poets possess I believe, the ability to be inspired in a different way on a different day by the same type of event - though no two dawnings are the same.

Love the way you romance the passage of venus of the night laying down before the glory of arising day.

P.S. I'd love to know what you thought of the fairy tale i posted yesterday about Louise rabbit

Yes D.A. inspiration from Nature just cant be beat - so pleased you liked the bit of romance I fancied 'tween Venus and Night - - thank you indeed and am on my way right now to view your fairy tale.

              • ANGELA & BRIAN

Good Evening Fay - Angela here just catching a few moments of MPS Time before its time for bed again ! You Cornish Pixies know just how much the Sea ameliorates SUNRISE & SUNSET and Cowes faces both East & West (see map) so one can observe both in a Day in all their Channel reflected GLORY. There is always something Magic & Divine about both events & Venus (on whom we will never walk !) is always the Bright & Morning Star !

From the Rising of the SUN
To the going down of the same
The LORDS Name is too be PRAISED ~ AMEN

                Blessings & Peace & Joy
                Love Angela & Brian & Smokey 💛💛💛
