Strength

Felicityjones

What is strength? Strength is cutting the ropes that depression placed on you so you couldn't start your day. It's not giving up after the masses laughed in your face. Strength is living after someone took away your confidence and dignity on your parent's couch. It's loving and trusting someone after past people put true fear in your eyes and told you not to tell. Strength doesn't always mean you can lift buildings and cars, it's something much more powerful and painful than that. You aren't born strong, you're forced to be it. Believe me when I say this, you can try to knock these type of people down, but they power through the hurt and suffering. A lot of them you wouldn't even know until you truly open your ears and listen.
It took me such a long to admit and believe this, but I am strong. I hurt and I still get up every morning. I had to re learn that not every guy is a predator. I cry over remembering what a limp body feels like. I remember everything, but I refuse to let trauma take over me and win. All of us who carry strength refuse to let it win. Don't let it win.

The seldom heard voice of the strong steadfast mind resounds here. Yes, just as you recount, we are not born with such strength and when i see those who suffer life without if i wonder where it has come from. I know that it is nurtured into maturity by the hard blows life dishes out and once one is aware of ones tenacity it bolsters itself anew.
Thank goodness for the soft heart and depth of feeling at the core though. Essential facets of our humanity.
I really embraced your post today.

That strength that you have resounds through your words and in life you will only get stronger and maybe be able to dismiss the 'limp body' of your past and move into the wonderful life that awaits you.

ANGELA HERE - Good Morning FELICITY - As a WOMAN I love the TRUISM expressed in your Frank Testimony!

    You arn*t born strong
You*re forced to be it !

This is something all WOMEN have to learn in the face of WEAK & PREDATORY MEN ! As Females We are born with Confidence & Dignity - BUT - A weak & shameless Man can remove that with one Blow of his Sword. Alas Young & Old Men are taught in a Godless Society that this is how they *Prove their MANHOOD* by thoughtlessly destroying the most precious thing a GIRL possesses - HER VIGINITY ! I my case many a promising relationship ended because I wouldn*t give the BOY / MAN what they expected. Im half Spanish & A Physiotherapist and I was accused of being FRIGID (which Im not) just because I defended my HONOUR! I was raised a Good Catholic Girl - by God fearing Parents (My PAPA is Spanish) so I drew the line at full Intercourse. As you know not all Men are PREDATORY and when I met Brian four years ago I was still a VIRGIN. Brian was a Gentleman (Caballero) and loved mr more for my Whole Being & Personality (my SOUL) rather than just my PHYSICAL BODY - there are Men like that. I was still a *VIRGIN* when we got married (Brian will be 37 in a few days time) and we are hoping to start a Family soon ! Thinking of You & Praying for You. BRIAN are Youth Workers (In the Church) and the RESOLVE in Your Story *TO BE STRONG* will be a great help to our TEENS who face similar situations in todays very very permissive Society ~ AMEN

Bessings & Peace & Joy for You always
    Love Angela & Brian 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
