Inspired by the best...

Poetic Dan

I write it all out,

Everything that builds up

But lately it has just got too much...

To choices and decisions

I did and did not make

The life all around me and the part that is fake

The burden of responsibility

What never asked to exist

Then maybe the fact that it did before my own exit

The information that matters

Diluted in mass

Wondering what era I'm a part of on this stage or this map

For my ability to connect

To others has felt inadequate in fact

As those moments of now become more frequent

I find my time standing still

Lost in my energy that won't heal

To be a part of this world is coming constant repeats

No I don't want to march and hear someone talented speak..

I've already listened and the change is ready in me

What needs to happen is what's never been done before

To go deeper in and reflect before we walk out the door

We've been at war all our lives, to free the spirit we left behind

Maybe then

Souls like mine will not lose track of time ...

  • Comment from author about the poem: After writing this yesterday I felt a wave of relief, sadly that then flipped and it all came to a crashing stop and my world once AGAIN come to an overwhelming ride... Forgot to add an extra thanks to captain Nev! for the kick that was needed..

I guess we all get lost in the day to day humdrum and if we look too closely so the misgivings begin.

Instead, I think of something beautiful, poetic. Sometimes writing about it, as a complete change from writing about me, is really lifting and reminds me - the world really is quite beautiful.

I can do that as much as the other but I guess I switch off to be somewhere in the middle.... It just hurts the others to be in my hurricane!
But I need to breathe and be me, while letting others be them! The lesson I've never learned is not to push them to far!

Always appreciate your time my friend...

I lose myself in my art - just off to do some designs for an album cover for a Christmas release - so little time to get it done. Just hope what I come up with meets with approval. But it keeps my mind occupied. A poignant write Dan.

Your reflections can sometime be fleeting but they can be so wonderful that they need to be put into words. I can get lost in them, listening to music, walking with nature and writing words about them can give me such wonderful times as I am sure you have with your family and your dogs.
            Keep your words flowing Dan.

You always know where it's at my good sir, and deserve more than a tip of the hat! Maybe a past on the back, I could not rhyme forever with you on my track!

              Always appreciated
              Sincerely... My man!
