Revival

Fay Slimm.

Revival.

Oh tiny flat diaphanous
beauty lying as dead on top
of my coffee.

I never saw you drop
from your first flying journey
right into my cup.

Let me resurrect you
to life with one scoop of spoon
under your silence.

Do try to revive by
flutter of wings when dry you
little slip of a fly.

      My Dear Fay,

This reminded me of the waiter’s joke,
“There’s a fly in my soup“.
      A most enjoyable read.

      Have a wonderful day.

Wishing you just the same as today brings its autumn surprises dear Laura - - so pleased you enjoyed the read .

immersive, it reads as an actual thought I might have had myself in the past, though not necessarily about a fly, nor with a tea cup as a culprit

And when revived I'll go find you a nice warm dog **** to dine upon.

Hmm well respect to all living creatures is fine but i'd like a little some of that back in so far as, if a fly is going to walk over my cheese then firstly i'd like him to have clean feet and secondly not to regurgitate the last meals digestive juices (as they do) onto my cheese.

Now if that were a Bee in your tea, then I'd not have a Bee in my bonnet about a fly.

However, that's just me inflicting me upon your fine poetry today. Rapping my own knuckles here.

Rather a sweet piece you have penned here. Certainly good reading for an audience of children's ears too.

Knowing You I pressume you drank the coffee without a second thought - I know i would have done! Please check my Poem *Seven Ages of Woman* I am surea it will strike a chord.
