PROVERBS FOR POETS ~ AN ANTHOLOGY

ANGELA & BRIAN

BLESSED are those who think outside the BOX

This is the province of unfettered Poets & Dreamers & Scientists !

PROSE Educates ~ POETRY Elevates ~ AMEN !

POETS see Life & Love through a Prism

Red - Orange - Yellow & Green

Blue - Indigo & Violet

PEOPLE still see in Black & White

And sometimes in *Fifty Shades of Grey !*

POETS are born ~ with their Eyes - Ears & Mouth wide OPEN

PEOPLE think with their Minds

POETS think with their Hearts & Souls

ATHLETES think with their SOLES !

Marry a MAN and He will PROVIDE for You

Marry a WOMAN and She will CHERISH You

Marry a POET and They will always AMAZE YOU !

POETS are *Wonderful with Words*

They make the Mundane a Marvel

A TREE ~ Tremendous ~ and a

MOUSE ~ Memorable ~ Rabbie Burns

Daffodills are YELLOW ~ OK ?

They Bloom & Fade & Die ~ BUT ~

Wordsworth immortalised THEM !

PROSE is FINITE constrained by Subject

and Grammar & Paragraphs etcetera, etcetera !

POETRY is INFINITE and has NO BOUNDARIEis

It is a verbaization of SOUL MUSIC ~ AMEN

I dunno a definition - I'm in this box, and can't get out. Can't see a thing, to write poems or anything. It's dark in 'ere, ya know!'
A poet -"One who waffles on, when everyone else has finished? Who always uses 20 words when 5 will do?" Is it me?! heehee.

I always found great wisdom in this from Yeats: Out of the quarrel with others we make rhetoric; out of the quarrel with ourselves we make poetry.

This is the best poem, I’ve read of yours to date! Heartfelt sentiments from a poet to poets !

There’s even a slight humor in there!
Athletes think with their soles! I’ve worn
Many of sole’s hiking , just as many of my works come from the soul!

      Smiles!

Good words Brian, poets can think in a completely different was to others.
