Cheese Straws.

Goldfinch60

Why did I do it?

I knew it was a mistake,

A big mistake!

I should have known better,

But no I did it,

I admit it,

I did it.

I had made a pie,

There was pastry left over,

I couldn’t waste it.

So I did it,

I made some cheese straws.

I knew it was a mistake,

But they were made.

They just sat there on the side

But every time I passed

I took one.

Why did I do it?

Why did I make cheese straws?

I wonder what happened to them?

I'm the same with chocolate - never leave a bar around or it will all disappear - don't know where!

      • Goldfinch60

Chocolate is not so bad for me but I also make shortbread biscuits and they seem to disappear as well.

Wow - how weird dear Andy - do your cheese straws just like mine do a disappearing act too ? Smiles and thanks for this naughty but yummy confession.

        • Goldfinch60

It is so weird Fay how they just seem to disappear isn't it.

.. In my humble opinion, the only thing wrong with cheese straws, is the following two fundamental design faults ...

          1) the hole is never big enough

          2) they tend to go soggy from the bottom up when ya try and sip ya Ribena through em ....

Actually, there aint nowt wrong with cheese straws, is there ... I love em too sir .. Now where did the missus put the Glastonbury Twanger ...

          Neville 🙂

I can understand your problems numbers 1 and 2 but in my case the cheese straws seem to disappear before i can use them in the Ribena.

Hope you find the Glastonbury Twanger.

Sounds delicious, do you make the crust from scratch.

                • Goldfinch60

Generally, but sometimes I use ready made it depends how I am feeling, this lot was made from my own dough.
