Autumn's Glory.

Goldfinch60

The glory is coming upon us

That time in Nature’s life

Where it’s artistry

Fills my life with so many colours

The colours that only Nature can paint.

So many colours in its artwork

As Autumn comes into my life

The greens turning yellow and gold

Into orange and red

Different every day

As Nature’s brush paints glory

Such colourful glory into my world

Good write Gold. I did a river-side walk, the first time I had passed it in Winter (not local). I wondered: 'Why are trees bare?' I answered myself: 'Cos it's winter, you clot!' lol.

    • Goldfinch60

Yes it does happen that the leaves fall from the trees. They do not want to be there for C.

feels strange but weather's been kinda good lately (near me) and there's a lot of greenery resurfacing all around, almost like a second bloom of short lived summer between Autumn and Winter, guess it just adds to the oddity list of 2020, one crazy ride of a year for sure

      • Goldfinch60

Yes it is true LB but autumn is slowly arriving around me.

Oh what a glorious season your words describe dear Andy and as with me autumn is favoured when mellow changes appear in the countryside - a big thank you too for the number you chose by another of the greats playing its poignant beauty.

        • Goldfinch60

Thank you Fay, it is a wonderful season. That number I have on a recently purchased cd. ( one of many).

Your poetic palette runneth over this fine fall mane Andy .. and what a fine picture you have sketched and coloured in .....

          • Goldfinch60

Thank you Neville, it is my favourite season showing such a plethora of artwork.

Beautifully said dearest! Most of your poems are written in the first person, as if you are writing a poetry diary! You certainly got a book in the works

            • Goldfinch60

              Thank you RB, most kind.
I write mainly from my life's experiences, there have ben many of them in my long and wonderful life.

It's been a strange year - usually the grass burns and yet this year it's stayed quite green all the summer. I have noticed a few trees beginning to turn and love autumnal colours - a beautiful season.

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you Michael, yes it certainly has stayed green for a long time but autumn is creeping in and those colours will astound us once again.

The trees are turning here and I'm looking forward to my first apple cider doughnut. What a great time of the year. unless you have to rake leaves. This is a great tribute to the wonderful coloration of nature that happens at this time. - Phil A.

                • Goldfinch60

Apple cider doughnut eh? Can I have the recipe? They sound wonderful.
Thank you Phil, autumn is such a wonderful season to walk with.

It's certainly here in Connecticut and most beautiful! And I was out yesterday gathering leaves and for some reason kept humming the Charlie Brown song (It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown) - your music is much more adult and inspiring Andy - ha!

                  • Goldfinch60

Thank you Lorna, keep the music coming it is good for you.

                    Andy
