I just saw my reflection blink
Gazing down upon the stream
In tiny ripples of glittered ink
Oh, could it be just a dream?
I saw my reflection smile
Gazing down upon the stream
Cascading gently and mild
Oh! could it be just a dream?
Then spied my reflection dying
Gazing down upon the stream
My blissful eternal soul flying
Or was it just a mixed up dream
I saw my reflection finally fade
Gazing down upon the stream
My blinking last escapade
Before I drowned in my dreams

I really like the progressive unhurried flow of these words .. from a blink .. to fading away ... so you can paddle another day .... 🙂
Thanks Neville, this was another poem challenge “ I just saw my Reflection Blink”
This is what it turned into! Thanks again for stopping by
Take care
Yes unhurried and flowing slowly your verse depicts differing depths of dreams and love the girl in the pearl ear-ring you chose to accompany this enchanting rhyme - well done again D.
Thank you Fay, the photo is one of my favorites along with the movie! Glad you enjoyed the read d
The words carry you with them - super work.
Thanks Micheal, definitely a flowing journey! Thanks for stopping by
Wonderful words RB, may those dreams be always with you.
Andy
Dreams are dreams , thank you Andy! Smilez
oh snap, we both mused on dreaming in our last posts lol,
I like the angle of the picture and how it makes the pearl more prominent, somewhat like the pearl of wisdom your rhythmic lines are chasing to unmask
Shall read your dreamy poem ! The pearl has a gleaming quality, a luster like a mirror! Yes her look has a mysterious quality, Wisdom flowing!
Smilez
a re-visit .. just because I can .. and because I think these words are more than worth it
Well thank you kindly Sir Neville, and for you I give a double wink,
Thanks for the second glance
