The World at My Table.

Goldfinch60

I went travelling last night.

Cooked a curry,

Where I was in India.

Made some ciabatta

To wipe the plate,

So I was in Italy.

And all washed down

With a beautiful Rioja,

Which took me to Spain.

Brad Mehldau’s music

Took me to America.

For what more could I ask?

Good food,

Superb wine,

Great music,

And travelling the world.

With me just sitting

Sitting at the table.

Inviting the world to join you at table sounds better than waiting in line for an airplane -- great read today Andy and hope that feast was a sign of more international meals to come - love that Beatles number too

I love this one Andy. I think I shall save it. I find great truth in your notion of travel from home. Especially relevant under todays conditions. - Phil A.

Thank you Phil, I am most honoured that you have saved it, thank you.

Not only have you made me hungry .. just in time for my breakfast ...

You also took me on an exhilarating intercontinental road trip and darn near tickled all me senses in just eighteen lines ..

Now that's the way to kick off a weekend ... Cheers sir ...

In times of a hardly opened world
Your poetry takes me on tour
The beautiful world with its mouth watering dishes
                      Good one dear Andy

                    • Goldfinch60
