THE TIDE

Michael Edwards

Thinking it over in bed last night

I’ve decided Philosophers aren’t always right

the tide doesn't turn - quite the converse

they've got it all wrong - it goes in reverse.

Good write M. 'Great men/women are not always wise' - part of a Biblical proverb. Aww, we not wise then, you and I?!
Even Shakespeare and Einstein said some weird things among their other more sensible wisdom.

    • Michael Edwards

The wise can be thick which comes from no actual life experiences -

Now that is an innovative way of putting it - - agreed the tide indeed reserves - - I love your turn of phrasing here Mike...........

Thanks Fay - when you think about it if the tide turned the waves on the east coast of America would now be on the west coast of the UK and vice versa. Makes sense don'it.

Ooops someone called and I made a typo - -apologies Michael - -I meant to write the tide REVERSES - smiled at what I really typed ...............

I see a cyclical pattern to most of nature and existence as a whole, so maybe it feels like 'in reverse' because while we are adjusting to one situation, the tide has come full circle and we'll left seemingly boxed-in...
          thought provoking

          • Michael Edwards

These thoughts come in waves. Thanks LB

Maybe it just doesn't like what it sees when it hits shore and runs backwards as fast as it can......... but you're certainly right - it's going backwards. Who needs a Degree!

            • Michael Edwards

Degrees are for the hot headed methinks.

            • dusk arising

Ah...i knew it was wrong..... henceforth i shall look for the backward tides and marvel at the new antics of surfers.
I cant wait to see the backwards waves revealing sandcastles which they used to greedily devour.

I wonder if Glenis ever tore him off a strip?

              • Michael Edwards

Now there's some thoughts - sandcastles reversicated.

Wisdom is knowledge that can always be challenged, some of the people I have met in my many years only have knowledge about one thing and in that there wisdom is profound but they know nothing outside there slim world of knowledge.
