Wished-For.
Today comes empathy-tinged.
What a dawning as pale sun,
breaking through grey,
about-faces
and allays apprehension.
What a wished-for bit of news
this lovely morning
joins with me
that hope be coming to you.
Friendship its own comfort brings.

A fine write Fay. In a hymn, it says: 'Help me.... not so much to be understood and to understand'.
Yet we all need to be understood by others, or they won't know what we're on about. We'll be all in a mess, and not able to understand anyone else either!
Yes I agree Orchi - we all need to be understood. Thanks for your comment my friend.
indeed, we live as much in the shared sorrow and joy of those who grace our lives with their flavourful presence,
a sweet dedication
I am so glad you enjoyed the read of friendship shared L.B.
Your empathy shines through to us every day Fay.......... lovely thoughts here.
How generous of you dear Lorna - - your comment leaves me humbled as does your kind encouragement.
Concern over a friends wellbeing and one's joy on learning of their good news is truly a measure of friendship given. When we allow someone into our aura of care we truly share their existence with our own and our loved ones.
I second your wise opinion on friendship my friend. Sharing the laughter and the challenges is what loved ones do for each other.
I'd like to be more understanding and, better still, to be more overstanding. Fine write Fay.
Love the the play on word-comparison you made in this comment Mike....... thanks ever so.
You can beat an egg can't ya .. but you just cant beat a really good friend
... You say so much here and so well in just a few words ...
I am now trying to remember the words of an ancient sampler made by a distant relative of mine going back to the ? century ..
True friendship is a gordian knot which angel hands have tied etc etc
lovely my luverly ....
So glad you liked "Wish-For and what a wise-worded sampler that must have been to read and digest when friendship met tests in those days of yore.......... bless ya and more for sharing that with me mon ami.............x
As you have so poetically expressed,
