I've had turkeys in the grass
And a wild red fox run past
A bear who's there but I have yet to see
A coyote 'neath my trees
Indeed a mangy sight to see
Hugged the brush and slunk away into the night
A white crane who strutted by
Early here one summer day
A more magical a sight there's never been
Now a bobcat has appeared
Somewhere up beyond the field
With his whiskered little ears he's greeted me
So when I think I'm all alone
In my cozy little home
But a little bit forlorn that it's just me
All I have to do is call
Throw a little food for all
And one by one I've got some company

I saw a pigeon. Doh! Well, in UK it might be a wild one - who knows?! lol
We're very English (well, I am). We can't have too much wildness! lol.
It's in there somewhere - even if you dance when you're alone!!! Wild Orchi(ds).........
You shame us here in UK for most us can only relate to spiders as a visit from the wild.
Im joking of course for foxes now have become nocturnal urban visitors to our gardens along with hedgehogs and if you're very lucky, badgers.
I envy you your closeness to the wildlife around you.
Truthfully I don't see them often but they are there!
And here's me setting humane mouse traps - super write Lorna.
As food attracts the wild live, so does love attract friendships.
So you shall be rich, in company and words
Thank you Suresh - I needed that! What a nice comment...........
That is wonderful Lorna, the wildlife that is around you must be so wonderful. I just have the birds come to me and it is great.
Andy
They're lurking Andy - I don't see them much but it's fun that they are there somewhere - especially since it really is a residential area.......... it's mostly birds for me as well although the bobcat seems to be a regular guest these days.
A positive menage of beautiful wild things and all around your daily doings - hats off to you Lorna for naming them for us.
