Going through life can be hard,
So hard for some.
It maybe because they do not look,
Do not look around them
So all they see is the despair,
The despair that seems to take them,
Take them into a place of darkness.
In our life though it can be different
But you need to seek out these places,
These places where beauty is around you,
So that you can move from the darkness
Into that wonderful world of light.

I've never had a problem seeing these places virtually everywhere but... eye of the beholder etc and... none so blind as they who WILL NOT see.
So true d a, people just do not look around to see what is there.

As an artist I see in detail what others fail to see at all and when I point them out they are often quite amazed. If only they would learn to use their eyes.
Love the music but must say I prefer it when sung - by Renee Fleming for example.
I fee the same with my photography, I see things that others just do not see or dismiss as not worth looking at.
I too like it sung but I heard this and thought it sounded so good.

Good write Gold.
Doh! We're moving into the darkness, the evenings, that is. But lighter mornings for a while.
The end of BST. Yep, we did have some British Summer Time. I'm sure it was more than them two days in June!
The dark evenings are fine as I have my lighter mornings back. I am a lark and am now up with them again.

Only about 2 months to go, then it starts getting lighter again - oops, I'm wishing the year away! Arrgghh!
in a world of contrasts, there is a unity of opposites .. it is very much a perceptual thing ... but I take your point GF60 and which you make well here...
Thank you Neville, yes those contrasts make the world what it is and the good and the bad are there, I just wish more people would see the good.
Andy
Ye life is often what we see and make for ourselves my friend - our powerful perception creates a world of either light or dark - so good that you fill your world with sunshine dear Andy.
Thank you for your kind words Fay, the light is there for us all to see.
Andy
often Dylan Thomas' words are utilised for times of struggle and hardship, but that line:
'Rage, rage against the dying of the light'
has always represented an expression of choice to me, we all can choose in our daily lives and those bleakest of times to find a shard of tangible hope to grip, even if that comes in the form acceptance
