ASSURANCE NURTURES JOY

Michael Edwards

ASSURANCE NURTURES JOY

The instincts born

in margins mutable now lost

corrected by experience

as in the convalescing heart

circadian rhythms  manifest

and in unspoken  consequence

by factoids winnowed

from the chaff

assurance nurtures joy.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've got my serious head on tooday plus another of my doodles - these are just 4ins square but great fun to do when the TV ads are on. Actually sad to say the ads are better than the rubbish programmes currently on offer.

Miss Berles has her serious head on too. She asks how are syllables these days? Are there enough in stock?!

    • Michael Edwards

Mad crazy shoppers are stocking up for lock down and the shelves are empty - but worry not - Miss Berles has enough for us regulars.

Thanks A&B. I love these little abstracts - I can do them during the breaks between adverts - the programmes are dire of late.🥴
Jeanne's cancer (small nodule on her lung) was secondary and caught very early so all is the best we could hope for. She is now referred back to nephrology for follow ups etc and any possiblre further treatment. She's still somewhat anxious (as indeed am I ) but progressing really well. Thanks so much for kindly asking after her.

so True: that's why numbers in creative fields are as poisons to our breathing spheres - result of formulated reasoning memes...
