PRECOGNITION

Michael Edwards

PRECOGNITION

Through bare branches, swinging, swaying,

howling winter winds declare

the end of autumns cloak of gold

in days of dark and drear.

Hoping soon once solstice passed

with benefit of spring bestowed

midst avian songs and shoots of green

I’ll chart the labyrinthine road.

May that labyrinthine road show the absolute beauty of Nature's seasons Michael, as you words do.

    Good write and pic M.
Miss Berles know any labyrinths? Is she stuck in a maze and can't get out?

    • Michael Edwards

No but she does know Lady Rinths.

Apologies, apologies, apologies - I know this is not directly apropos your work above, Michael, which I've read and enjoyed (as I attempt to read all on MPS - with varying levels of comprehension and gratification). I also read the commentaries, which I find can aid immeasurably in my own discernment and pleasure. (I don't often comment on nature poetry, which as I've already stated I do enjoy, because I really haven't got much to add - good enough reason to shut up?)
So why am I here? (Recurrent question with much applicability).
Answer: Who the hell are Miss Berles and Lady Rinths?

        • Michael Edwards

Orchi and I share a common daftness - the truth is she's quite fictitious - or is she?
We believe her to be the Lady who is in charge of syllables - hence her name - Sylla Berles.
Get it? No, nor do we .
Completely mad - one of my favourite poets: Spike Milligan of course.
As for Lady Rinths - no idea - just a friend who Sylla talks about from time to time - or does she?

          • Doggerel Dave

Thanks for that, Michael - this has clarified the situation perfectly and stilled a mind in turmoil...
            Complete and utter regards, Dave

Spot on - looking forward to the new year and the promise of things to come.

              • dusk arising

How our hearts sing for the renewal of spring. This year more than ever we are so ready to be a real part of that springtime renewal. How free we shall feel if it coincides with the lifting of this dark veil we have been existing beneath.

                Timely words M.E.
