We sit and wait for many things,
For that special day,
That time when the sun shines on us
Or that time looking for love.
Sitting and waiting can be endless
And brings such sadness to our lives.
So stop waiting and look around you,
Glory and wonder can be found in this moment,
As happiness is achieved when you stop waiting,
Stop waiting for it and make the most,
Make the most of the moment that you are in,
That you are in right now.

I'm gonna spend this moment in time, telling off people who keep saying 'This moment in time!' See, they've got me at it now. lol.
I mean, yes, say it sometimes, but basically no need for people to go mad with it! lol. There's another thing: 'Well, basically I.....'

Thank you Dave, yes enjoy each moment but I am sure there will be many more for us.
The music is a tribute to Beethoven's 250th birthday this year, the whole concerto is very good and well worth listening to.

Is it just me or can everyone over 50 look back to much waiting, hesitancy and formality that inhibit the spirit of expression, limiting the highs and lows we experience. Thanks Goldfinch, for a gentle reminder to go for it now!

Some people call what you have described and 'mindfulness'. As if mindfulness is something new and marvellous. Hmmm... what have we been missing..... in truth nothing... we were always mindful of life around us and how we fit into the scheme of things.... well, that's you and me anyhow LOL
Very true d a, we are always aware of life around us and how we fit in without trying to disturb it. We are fortunate to be aware of this.
