Tune & Hymn: Father I place into your hands
Colossians 3 v.12-17
********
Put on then, as God's chosen ones
You are His daughters, sons
Tender mercies, and too be kind
have humbleness of mind
Meekness too and longsuffering
Patient be in each thing
Following Him, He our Lord and King
Forbear one another, forgive
Not in quarrelling live
But do forgive as Christ forgave
For us He came to save
Above all these things put on love
The Spirit, holy dove
Will help us, we be in His encove* (*covenant)
Love, it the bond of perfectness
So the Lord shall us bless
Let God's peace rule within your hearts
He it to us imparts
To this peace you are called in one
Body, that of His Son
Be thankful, despise His graces none
Let the word of Christ dwell in you
In wisdom, it rich, true
Teach, admonish one another
Each sister and brother
Using psalms, hymns, spiritual songs
Joining the joyful throng
Sing with grace in your hearts all along
Sing to the Lord with joyful voice
In His presence rejoice
And whatever you do in word
Or deed, what done or heard
Do all in name of the Lord, see
For Jesus He sure be
Give thanks by Him to God, Father free
