It Is So Easy.

Goldfinch60

It is so easy to make.

Just one egg,

One hundred grams of flour,

Mix them together into a dough.

Flatten the dough,

Again and again,

Again and again.

Run it thought a press,

Again and again,

Again and again,

Thinner and thinner each time,

It is so easy.

Then cut the dough

Into a quarter inch strips,

And there you have it

The tagliatelle is prepared.

It is so easy,

But then you have the problem.

There is flour everywhere,

Small lumps of the pasta hide away

All round the kitchen,

All through the house,

And you spend the next few days

Finding it in strange places,

At least I do!

    Good write Gold.
You go into some Staff Kitchens and it looks like someone has been throwing stuff around the room. Public areas may be immaculate, but staff areas can be horrendous. I mean the washing-up areas - nobody does it until we run out of cups or plates!

Thanks Orchi, yes I have seen areas like that.

Until i read the third line i thought you were going to tell us how to make an egg.

I thought that stuff grew on trees alongside the spaghetti trees in a pasta orchard.

I enjoyed the silyness of this, gave me a good laugh at all the mess u create.... just how far away is Lidl from you?.... they have it in nice neat un-messy bags you know.

I used to be everso messy with home baking.... the bread machine was a boon.... and i've just started buying those part baked french sticks from tesco... great with soup.... from a can.

        Glad I gave you a laugh d a.
Yes the bought pasta from the supermarkets is good but home made pasta tastes better (in my view).
I have made my own bread for years, WITHOUT A BREAD MAKER, and when we were clapping for carers I nearly became the baker of the street as I gave loaves to several people on my street. I still give a loaf a week to my next door neighbour.

for a fellow foody like me, this here be true metaphorical lament of day-to-day messy reality - we conquer with ease, with our ever-flippant will...
nothing more rewarding than home made pasta, that's as light - as it is satisfying chewy, lol
          a fun read Andy

Thanks LB, I have been cooking all my life, it is a passion of mine. The only take away food I get is the occasional Fish and Chips.
