Always There For Me.

Goldfinch60

Yet again I stop.

The power that music has over me

Makes me stop and listen.

I have to listen,

I become the music

As it goes through my body

To my heart and mind.

I seem to leave my body

And follow the notes into the ether

As they sail away to infinity,

Always there for me to hear.

  • Comment from author about the poem: As usual I had the radio on this morning as I was reading and writing poetry when this piece of music came on, I became one with the music.

ANGELA HERE - GOOD AFTERNOON - Uncle Andy Wow we are on sacred ground today ! Beethovens Emperor Op 73, First peformed in Vienna in 1811. His 5th Piano Concerto a piece which all amateur Pianists aspire to PLAY ! Beethoven is my fave composer for Piano. No more Clinics today so a few moments to catch up on MPS after a late lunch. I empathise with your elegant Poem ~ Music is the Food of Life & Love ~ so please *Play it again Uncle Andy !*

And what a great piece it is - could listen to Beethoven all day.

          • Goldfinch60

            Thanks Michael, so could I.

There is a theory that there are four composers that can never be surpassed, J.S Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and your own favourite, such true words.

another well captured sensory observation sir .... indeed one might even say charming ...

I only learnt yesterday that a flock of goldfinches is called 'a charm'

            ... Neville

            • Goldfinch60

Thank you Neville, music is so important and so 'charming'.
