My Poetic Side

RDS

Where poems come one day at a time in an endless flow of rhyme describing the unclassified, humour or love in life and ooh...

there's x-rated stuff too.

We can read and comment on the creativity passing.

How someone solves a problem, what to say about a heart that got broken, love tokens and gems of wisdom.

I try to read all of them, but as more people subscribe a mountain grows before my eyes. I apologise if my rescue dogs couldn't pull your memory from the avalanche of recent activity.

It's not you, it's me.

Comments can never be stolen just rewoven by another poet in an uneven collaboration.

Reusing the effort to combat climate change, are they not fair game?

I may steal words but never a verse or sentence.

I might reflect your sentiments

The stray flies of replies can pull a 3 day corpse back to life.

As I stand as your witness, I've honestly seen the miracle of this

Not everything I've written is true. Between me and you I use some creative vehicles other people might call lies.

A dramatists eye or imagined self and stuff I say to add but not pad out.

We can be friends and chat in messages, work together or publish books.

We can hang out for kicks but I'm not sure about pulling chicks cos we did it looking moody reading books back in the day, not hunched over touch-screen tech.

Meh, the vanity of youth eh?

What else can I say except I don't think there's a downside, to this poetic vibe.

Hope you got an appropriate fee for this ad.
I did recognise the place so you've painted a good picture.

PS: anyone know how to do a 'smiley' here?

Hahaha paid ad Dave? I though it more fair warning of my lexical kleptomania! πŸ˜‰

I recognise this piece of light verse - I'm with you all the way. Great stuff indeed. Love the term 'creative vehicles' for lies .

        • RDS

Thanks Michael, yes creative vehicles are perfect for a joyride!
Glad you came by to read and comment my artistic friend.

It is certainly a great site that you have described and is very true, been on her for a few years now and have always enjoyed it.

Oohh, I know, the x-rated stuff causes me to swoon! heehee.

            • RDS

Hahaha. There's a poet on 'my poetic sidewall', that shows on the bottom of the page past all the news. He writes the filthiest stuff I've read but I'm sure he's not alone!
This glass house I have has got great views...

like I say, when all else fails, lean on the words of true genius: alas, if anyone asks my opinion of this wonderful platform titled My Poetic Side, I shall ever refer them to this page...
              Brilliant!

              • RDS

                L. B. You are too kind, I am a bit rusty being humble and it's a good day for basking in sunshine so why not praise too! Thank you my creative friend I appreciate your thoughts and your remote presence.

Nah RD: It’s all the same with you arty types; you need focus here, Lexical and Kleptomania (whoever they are) might be OK, but they’re not bringing in the readies are they? (I’ve got a mate who fixes things I’m sure he could have a chat to the MPS rep and get you a good deal – for a percentage).

                Dave

                • RDS

Hahaha us arty types can live on fresh air and hope. Until we don\'t it\'s a fatal flaw but I never shut the door on filthy lucre. It ain\'t nothing new but we all get cash from chaos.
Does your mate do mate\'s rates, friends of friends that don\'t like to spend? Kleptomania fills my pockets with riches outside of business. A good lass who turns a blind eye to my lack of brass. I can introduce you if you like?

Great doing business with you, RD.

                  • ANGELA & BRIAN

GOOD EVENING FRIEND ~ ANGELA HERE ~ Because of the facility to comment - and reply to comments - MPS is both a very popular& proactive site and also very very addictive ! When we met - Brian was already a Member so we decided to share the site. Because we have been married for nearly a Year most of our poems (which are largely factual - we are both Scientists) are collaborations ! Because the MUSE is exponential this gives us ten times the inspiration ! We have no difficulty posting a Poem on this - that & the other ~ but choosing an appropriate VISUAL & a VIDEO can ofen take more time ! WE like to encourage NEW MEMBERS - especially when no one else bothers to comment ! It is a great site and we should respect all contributions and seek to be CONSTRUCTIVE in our comments and GRACIOUS in our replies - AMEN !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
                    Love Angela Brian & Smokey ! ! !

                    • RDS

Angela, Yes the comments, as now, are a way of sharing gifts we can give away for free, words, politeness and civility, feelings and other such treasures that only grow richer as they're shard not hoarded.

I only stumbled upon the site and liked some of the poems and people's thoughts on them. It's been a tough year and I liked the inspiration it brought to my writing. Good to hear you and Brian too areadherents to a Philo sophia. I also like the esoteric and obscure thoughts about the unexplored, the here and now and the inner dimensions of a surface understanding.

Thanks for dropping by for a read and your encouraging reply. I hope you Brian and Smokey are blessed and well.

So many great line and you definitely bring a crowd, no energy to type more as you middy know but I'll say it anyway!

                      Don't lose that rawness
                      Stay creative
                      J

                      Much peace and respect!
Ps giggled at the dog bit but I wasn't my mind to shut off.... To much inspiration!

                      • RDS

                        Haha thanks Dan,
Just remember not everything I say is true, that's only what we live through!

In the enduring lines of the late Bill Hicks "Life's a ride".
                        Love and peace brother
