Groundhog Day

Neville

Groundhog Day

Do you remember

My love

When we both once

Thought

Thirty-seven was old

….

When the end of the

World

Was more than just

The end

Of another long road ..

Well let me share with

You this

My very first liver spots

Arrived here today ..

And from the visible

Signs of such

A blemish or bruise

To corruption

And my eventual decay

Just be sure to note

All the facts in a book

For there was once a

Point of beauty and truth

Hidden discretely

Somewhere on the way

Do you remember

Arching and aching

Forgiving forsaking

Those were moments

Too good to be true

All that

Pulsing and probing

Exploring and loving

Plus giving and taking

It feels like

I’ve been here before

How does it feel to you

If she has as much about her, character wise, as you do sir then... daft question.... and from me a ridiculous comment for she, would have to have as much depth as your good self otherwise there would be no 'she'.

    ... I don't care!! I know what i meant. LOL

If she doesn't remember then she's not worthy - but I bet she does.

The passing of things and of those held so dear makes love and togetherness even more needed as this tribute to seeing the truth of comings and goings artfully discloses my friend. Feelings of Déja Vu become clearer when moments of "pulsing and probing" are virtually over - - maybe. Another depth here of your avid perception and so impressively well expressed.........x

I'd rather not comment on how closely I identify with that work of yours - including, but definitely not only, the early lines relating to ageing...
Thanks for for being so succinct there . Any more and this post might have been very different....

                Regards Dave
