Tune: Monks Gate

('He who would valiant be'

Or: 'Who would true valour see')

Isaiah 12 v.1-6

**********

In the restoration

Days of the nation (of Israel)

We shall say, O LORD, I

Praise you, not deny

Though you were angry, your

Anger is turned back, for

You comfort us, we say

You save us today

God our salvation, He

Our strength, song too be

We will trust and not fear

Knowing you are near

You, the LORD JEHOVAH

Blessings on us confer

Therefore with joy we shall

Draw water from wells

They wells of salvation

Refreshing each one

We shall praise the LORD, we

His doings shall see

Sing to the LORD, for He

Excellent, holy be

Cry out, shout, not desist

He great in our midst

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 6.5.6.5. 6.6.6.5. metre, and a look round part of North Yorkshire in the clip. 'The End' of the Isaiah Series. This one nipped in as one of the 'extras'. Though there are 10 more in a Series in my Archive list.
