What Was Wrong!

What was wrong!

There was definitely something wrong!

There I was reading poems

Written on the website,

But something was wrong,

Something was seriously wrong!

Then I realised what it was,

There was no music,

No music in my life!

I had forgotten,

Forgotten to turn on the radio!!

  • Poetic Dan

Nooooo, luckily for me music plays all the time!! In my mind πŸ˜‰

    • Goldfinch60

Thanks Dan, yes it plays for me as well but I always have music playing in the house. Once when my daughter came in she asked "Are you OK there is no music playing?" I had just turned it off as we were going to go out. LOL

    • orchidee

Good write Gold. I could provide some tune for you, by singing. Oh no! lol.

      • Goldfinch60

Thanks Orchi. I am sure you could, you could sing the song "Far Away" - and the further away the better. I enjoy bagpipes that way as well.

      • Michael Edwards

One does so need the wireless doesn't one - like you I'm lost without something playing whether I'm actually listening or it's simply playing in the background.

        • Goldfinch60

          Very true Michael.

Wireless eh? you must be over 21 years old. πŸ™„

        • ANGELA & BRIAN

ANGELA HERE - Good Morning Uncle Andy thanks for Showcasing SPIEGEL IM SPIEGEL (Mirrors in Mirrors) Otto Part 1978 - F major ! It is very soothing & repetitive as the title suggests. It is eay to play - on solo piano - but difficult to attain (& maintain) the right level of delicacy. Just on my lunch break. Enjoying a Blue Cheese Sandwhich and a flask of Tomato and Corriander Soup listening to S I S !
I agree with you about the RADIO ! I have my radios tuned to Radio 3 or Classic FM ~ Brian likes the same - Thank GOD for the BBC ! Please check our Poem *12 MONTHS of COVID 19* - Thanks - A & B !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours
          Love Angela & Brian & Smokey ! ! !

          • Goldfinch60

            Thank you Angela.

          • Amon

ooh my goodness, you mean music? I'm really in love with music it's all wrong without music

            • Goldfinch60

Of course music, it has been with me all my long life and always will be.
              Tahnk you Amon.

            • dusk arising

Somehow i can't imagine Goldfinch enjoying having his radio tuned to a commercial radio station. Tell me if I am wrong but somehow I don't see you tolerating adverts and not very talented presenters.

              • Goldfinch60

I always have Radio 3 on but recently in the car apart from my albums on USBs I listen to Scala Radio and Jazz FM a great deal, I have come across some wonderful stuff on there. As I have said before on many occasions - so much music, so little time.

              • Robert Haigh

Music is important to me too, Andy. In fact, music is my main artistic pursuit, although I will always love poetry. If I don't "see" you again before Christmas (I'm taking a break from MPS for a while) hope you have a good Yuletide and a Happy New Year! ~ Robert

                • Goldfinch60

Thank you Robert, music is my main artistic pursuit as well. I have played clarinet in a clarinet choir, trumpet in a Swing band and am currently singing in three choirs (when they are able to sing again). Music is always on in my house.
Enjoy your break Robert and have a good Yuletide and a Happy New Year yourself.

                • FredPeyer

Andy, I agree with you. Without music, nothing goes!!!

                  • Goldfinch60

Thank you Fred, you are right.

                  • Jerry Reynolds

                    Yes, there should be music.

                    • Goldfinch60

All the time Jerry, all the time.

                    • Shearonder1987
