In life we often look back
And see our faults where we started,
Started our lives.
Sometimes we wish we could change,
Change the beginning
So that we could be in another place,
But we realise that we cannot go back.
We can do something though,
By starting anew from where we are
We can change the ending.

That is so profound. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life.
You are a shining example of the positive mindset.
Thank you d a, you are most kind.

Every day is a new beginning - so true Andy.
Yes Michael so true.

Good write Gold.
Yes as dusk says: Tomorrow is the first day...etc. Each new day to hear me singing. Arrgghh! lol.
Thank you Orchi.

Great advice as always Goldfinch
Can't change the beginning
Can build to a crescendo
“By starting anew from where we are
We can change the ending.”
So true and insightful.
We can’t know what we don’t know until we know it.
Great write.

Thank you Peto and John for your comments, much appreciated as ever.

Very good read Andy. Can't play the tune right now as it would wake up Linda and that would not be a happy ending for me. 😉
Thank you Jerry, no you must not wake up LInda, you would do that at your peril. 😯
Could have, should have, would have... we all go through that. But you are right Andy, while we cannot change the past, we can shape the future. Well penned!
Thank you Fred. Yes the past is lost but the future is there for us to shape.
Andy
this is so very true .. I bet there aint a single one of us who would choose or dare to argue ..................
Thank you for kind words Neville.

a wonderful combination between the video and your words to reinforce a very straightforward but vital message, reminds me (if a little dramatically) of Dylan Thomas and his:
'Do no go gentle into that good night'
'rage, rage against the dying of the light',
while Dylan was speaking to his ailing father and our general willingness to accept the escape offered by death,
I think his words can be interpreted in line with your message: where even if we hold-on and merely find out we can impact our fates - at the very end,
maybe it's worth investing in a little hope and sprouting what feeble 'fighting spirit' we can muster and try to give a good accounting of ourselves in this brief breaths of a life, we inevitable tend to take for granted...
a thought provoking write Andy, thank you for inspiring my little reply scribble

Thank you Mek, I am sure that fighting spirit is within us all.
