Farewell to Stromness.

There was that sound,

Like a silken web it surrounded me

In such golden beauty,

Pulling me deeper and deeper

Down into its glory and wonder.

I was lost in that sound’s world,

Into a place where satisfaction reigned,

Showing me that all was well

And my life was beautiful.

I would go on in peace and love

Even when that time came,

When I said farewell,

Farewell to Stromness.

        Thank you for your kind words Dave. I have been listening to music all my long life and think I know a bit about it but the more I listen to music the more ignorant I realise that I am.

          I find that is the same with just about everything Andy - Frustrating, interesting or it is what it is?
          A corollary might be: 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing'. I call that the wisdom of the ages.There's many of them - a project for next year could be to start a poetry thread and see how many we can collect... I might try that sometime, but if you want to take it on, go for it.
