Well it’s the last day,
The last day of the year,
A year that many of us
Want to forget.
So much illness,
So much misery.
Not going out,
Not meeting family,
Or friends.
And many died.
Was everything bad?
Not everything,
As neighbours came closer,
Closer together.
Helping each other
In these times of trial.
As I walked by My River
People smiled,
We would say hello
Then utter more words
As each day happened,
Forgetting our sorrows,
Laughing with each other,
Enjoying Natures Realm.
Yes it has been a bad year
But we are still here,
And the New Year starts tomorrow
So go forward into it,
Knowing that it is the start,
The new start to our lives.

Hi Andy,
Happy New Year's Eve,
A wonderful write for the last day of 2020.
Wow, what a year.
You are right we are still here and we should look forward to the New Year that lies ahead.
Keep writing ✍ and safe during these challenging times.

Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
Not that 'tomorrow' that never comes, cos then it's 'today?' lol. What's that other saying: 'Yesterday is....' Or summat like that.
Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday.
Ahh, yes that was it! Now about that hippo... word........
Yes always two sides the happening as the old year draws to is close - thank you dear Andy for the positive outlook as the new year comes into view. May your postings continue to delight and upbuild us all.
Thank you Fay.
I hope you have a good New Year.
Andy
'Yes it has been a bad year
But we are still here,
And the New Year starts tomorrow
So go forward into it,'
Indeed Andy,
just look at Sir Alan Sugar: earlier in the year he denounced COVID as some hypothetical propaganda campaign because 'no one near him had been effected',
this week he announced he lost his sister to that same 'phantom plague',
just goes to show: we shouldn't take our survival so lightly...
Happy New Year, stay safe
Thank you Mek. May your New Year be filled with happiness.
Andy
Happy new year's

More importantly, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives. May we all enjoy good health througout 2021
Very true d a, enjoy every moment.
