Micah, prophet, prophecy
Bethlehem, small town, see
Though your place it little sure be
Midst Judah your residency
Yet of you shall come forth
One to rule of endless worth
It be by the Lord ordained
In His will all arranged
His plan from old, eternity
God's Son will the Saviour be
Angels that birth announce
Mercy to mankind, not trounce*
What small to mankind's sight
When it full comes to light
It in God's sight is valued much
And blessed with His anointing touch
Stone rejected by men
Made head of corner then**

** stone - corner-stone is one title given to Christ
