and so....
long days
longer now....
too much time
on my hands
to waste
when
I can least of all
afford to be
losing time...
at this time
of life.....
. old habits time
, television time
. over-eating time
. alcohol time
. over-sleeping time
. poetic mind
. where silly rhymes
. undermine
. my time
. plan a sublime
. tomorrow time

Think I'll join you. if I can find the time to stand up between nodding off. Think I'll do a sodoku - or count the leaves on the avocado.Great write.
Thank you M.E. zzzzzz
Will the days seem longer, as the daylight slowly increases now? We've had the 'Shortest Day'.
Are you growing your hair Orchidee..... will you come out of all this looking like a hermit.... Herman maybe?
Such an honest assessment of life behind shields - - keep that ink flowing D.A. - - - time will arrive when freedom's sunshine beckons us all outside again.
I want that freedom and yes i'll accept sunshine too if it's still managing to peer at us through the pollution and westminster excuses.
You know somethings up in your life when you're looking forward to a jab (apologies if you are a reformed heroin addict with striped forearms).
Who cannot relate to those words? Certainly a couple of contacts I still have in the UK would agree with you - as they returned , weak but relieved, from hospital.
Even here in Oz things fluctuate and there is no doubt that the fear of the virus is ever present...
Take it easy and stay safe (unnecessary advice)
Dave
Well I certainly hope you can stay safe in Oz and the reinfection rate doesn't go crazy like it appears to be doing here..... i haven't been out in weeks now.
Just out of interest, Dusk: How do you do food? I get my alcohol delivered but still go shopping for other essentials with mask.
I get it delivered. Most of the big supermarkets deliver but you have to make a decent sized order up or you get a delivery charge... also getting a delivery day not too far in advance can be a hassle. There is one supermarket who delivers next day for people on the 'extremely vulnerable' list with no minimum order charge tho. I include alcohol in my orders.
Organisation the key - pity those who can't do it. I'm thinking of food dely sometime soon - did once when seriously injured - trouble was couldn't select fresh fruit and veg myself.
Anyway, thanks for info - take care.
Nice job of manipulating MyPoeticSide's remarkably tricky formatting options. something I'm just learning. Shades of e.e. cummings!
Notice the full stops to the left of the post. Those are the secret to manipulating the text layout... or at least that's the only way i can do it.
I've been able to move the left margin to the right in order to get an indent, but I never tried to indent as far as you have using the full stops.
........ I'm with you all the way DA .. .
So long as we are all staying safe Neville..... grin and bear it.... live for another day..... life will feel all the sweeter one hopes.
You know about my days then d a.
At least we have music.
Andy
That river is going to ask you where you've been.
'when
I can least of all
afford to be
losing time...
at this time
of life.....'
how easily your insightful words - seep,
deep: to help resurface those chards of truth we hide far from our minds eye...
a Brilliant write and engaging read my friend,
thank you!
Thank you L.B.M. When we finally get an all clear we shall all be running around like mad men i suppose...... and moaning about how taxes have gone up to pay for all of this stuff.
Indeed Enjoyed the read!
Thank you Bloom. Just stay safe!
You Too!!!!
Very entertaining
Glad you found a bit of amusement here in these days of lockdown boredom.
