Carrying On.
Ocean crosses curve outlines
rouses its waters
as earth's ebb and flow tides
meet rising flood forces
on stone-bolstered cliff sides
but life carries on
despite crashes as wind-cries
bring briny destruction
while coastal people survive
against lethal sea storms
because all fisher-folk fight
to keep boats on shores
when each wave grows wilder.

Stormy time again for you. Good write Fay. I'm not near the coast myself.
Yes they near to the sea shore often have to batten down the hatches when ocean starts to roar - thanks for your comment dear orchi.
been a gusty last few days around my way, so your words read very timely dear Fay..
so too is that timeless lesson, for us to continue and fight, through the storms of life..
another wonderful read you've shared,
I like the picture as well, dramatic
a scene from our landscape view but I imagine those busily trying to survive and offer a helping hand, see a much more windowed view of existence in that moment, such is life
So pleased you saw the lesson for living with stormy events my friend.... thanking you most sincerely for all your encouraging comments on my efforts at poetry,
That's beautiful. Fay.
Thanks a load for your visit and read Jerry - - yes the sea has the last say when waves get higher than high.
A time when a land lubber is well away from the coast.
Your post brings to mind the force which has left such ragged torn evidence of it's power to many coastlines and many a widows face.
But how you weave words to create this picture is such art Fay.
You are kinder than kind at my efforts to weave words of tribute to fighters of coastal storms - such a wild enemy is the sea when it rises to beat human efforts to tie down shored vessels.
Very good and very true words Fay.
Andy
Thank you for your read and comment on my view of courage needed at such wild coastal times Andy.
its what they have had to do since for ever, isn't it .. to the outsider .. my word it might look romantic .. to those that live it .. its a matter of survival innit ..........
I swear I could taste salt just then and hear the thud of a fisherman's keel against hidden shingle n rocks ..
I certainly agree the fight for existence so close to an ocean is worthy of tribute just as much nowadays as way back when Nev.............. glad the words brought you the saline that soaks skins when fighting those breakers of keels.......x
