Another Wonderful Day.

Goldfinch60

I awake from my glorious sleep,

The new day ahead of me.

I just lay there and listen,

I hear a robin singing

In the early dawn,

Its calling to me and to others,

The light of the day is near.

I arise and look out of the window,

The moon shines upon me,

Showing me once more

That today will be a good day.

I come down and walk into the garden,

Around me I hear natures call

As the blackbirds and sparrows speak to me.

Another wonderful day is awaiting

And I am ready to enjoy it,

As I do every day.

Good write Gold. Another croquet day?

    • Goldfinch60

      Thanks Orchi.

Not today, I have a Zoom poetry group meeting this afternoon and I had better go as I am allegedly the organiser.
But croquet tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.

I gave up on a bi-monthly poetry group. I admit I 'pretended' to like some of the poems that were read out, but it got a bit dull. Though it was not a choir practice group, with me hymn-poems!

I'll meet you halfway Andy and agree
that everyday has the potential to be a good day
and write's like yours today, insure
we slow down a little, to appreciate them
before they become: our yearned-for yesterdays..
        wonderful music/video choice btw,

Thank you Mek they surely do.
