New Light Ahead.

Goldfinch60

At last I can lift my head

And see all around me.

A great weight has been lifted,

Lifted from my mind.

I can move forward looking up

And see the world,

See the world in its wonder.

The light of my world is there,

Is there in front of me

For me to enjoy once more,

Enjoy once more

Now I’ve had my hair cut!

Jeanne cut mine and made a fairly good job of it so don't need to go for a while yet. Nice one Andy.

Yesterday I thought I would just see if I could get into my barber after the furore of people getting their haircut last week, I just walked in the door and sat straight down into the barbers chair - no problem at all - it certainly surprised me though.

Wot - You still have hair???

      • Goldfinch60

Oh Yes! So did my father and his brother as does my younger brother. With my brother although he is 4 years younger than I am he has more grey hairs than I do.

A little competitive, there, Andy - still, 'he who casts the first stone', or something.....My younger brother is totally white, whereas I still have remnants....

Now for goodness sake get a shave!!!

I'm lucky, got fed up with thinning hair on top and grey pushing the sides out - I shaved the lot off a few years back. Very cold in winter but i'm all the more good looking for it (vanity rules).

Strangely shaving is something that I do with the best of my ability and doing it once a year works very well!

I nearly got charged on the croquet lawn yesterday as they thought I was a new member.

I find these lines beyond humour... the writer reminds : be optimistic...

            • Goldfinch60

Thank you PrEm Ji, I am always optimistic.
