Be Unfine

M.E.M.

Please, stop telling me that you are okay.

You are not, you don’t have to lie to me

Be as unfine as you want, become free.

You don’t need to keep your emotions at bay.

You can scream and rage all you want today

The world is not always rainbows and glee.

There are moments when life can be crappy.

Take some time away, then come back and slay!

From time to time the sky catches fire

Don’t let that rattle your resolve or mind

You are stronger than this case requires.

Come step forward and leave it all behind.

Stand up when life knocks you down, aim higher!

Find your rhythm and get back to the grind.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Portfolio poem 5. I’ve tried a Petrarchan sonnet before, but found it hard so changed to Shakespearian. But I tried again, and I did it! Comments are welcome. Created: 4-6-2021 | Edited: 4-13-2021 | Finalized: 4-27-2021
