Who I Need to Be

Accidental Poet

I’m a man of comfort

And I’m a man of pain

When I sense deceit

A feeling I disdain

I tend to smile

At compassion in the world

When people help each other

And the pull between boy and girl

The wag of a tail

A mischievous growl

The look of love

A playful howl

The nocturnal sky

And twinkling stars

The morning sunrise

In the golden hour

I write words of prose

As instructed by my muse

From deep within

Leaving no excuse

Giving to charity

To help those in need

Cause that’s who I am

Who I need to be

Really lovely AP 🙂 lovely words . We all need to see compassion in this world and to feel compassion towards others . You bring a caring nature into this ... showing you care and are kind

I call it like I see it Rose. And sometimes, as I'd rather see it. ; )

        Brilliant,
wisdom is often identified by the distilled acuteness
of the complex message it delivers, so accessibly simple
        illuminating easily: with refreshing clarity..
        thanks for sharing, dear Poet
