The Smile of a Man

Accidental Poet

His smile

Contagious and serene

Like the mountains he sang of

The forests and the streams

In his heart

A poem and a song

In the hearts of his audience

It’s there that he belongs

He sang of love

He sang of you and me

His sunshine radiates

Upon us endlessly

His greatest wish

To bring people together

With his music and voice

To settle stormy weather

Tragically, his life cut short

But his voice lives on

As it echoes in the Rockies

And the songs he’s sung

Super words about a great musician. 'Back in the day' when I was at work a colleague and I used to whistle and one of the tunes we used to whistle was 'Annie's Song' and we used to harmonise with each other.
