Well it winds from Cleethorpes, Grimsby way
Two-hundred and forty-two miles, ..all the way

Well it winds through Market Raisen
straight through Lincoln city
Newark-on-trent looks oh so pretty
You'll see East Bridgeford
East Goscote and Leicester too
Stratford down to Evesham through Bidford upon Avon
Hinton, Beckford, Aston Cross
Well if you get hip to this kinda trip
and take that Bath City, Ay-von trip
get your kicks on the A forty six
Well it winds through Woodchester
Nailsworth and Lasborough
Pensylvania village is oh so pretty
you'll have seen Painswick's steeple
met with Stroud people,
Nimlet, Tadwick, Barton End and Tiltup
Well if you get hip to this kinda trip
and take that Bath City, Ay-von trip
get your kicks on the A forty six

A part of it is about 25 or so miles from me.
Well I’ll have to hop on an Airbus, just to take this memorable trip on A 46.
