Hi folks, how ya doin’?
I’m Jack
I drive a big rig
Haulin’ a trailer with a Mack
I haul gravel, sand or dirt
But today I’ve a strange load
This guy with a ton of words
Asked me to haul it down the road
What he plans on doing
I can’t imagine his aim
Perhaps a massive version
Of a Scrabble board game
I wonder if
He’s writing a book
Hey, he could be Steven King
Although he didn’t have that look
I don’t know
Maybe he’s a poet
Come out of pandemic hiding
Hell bent to show it
But whatever the case
I’ll haul it there
Causing strange looks
When I dump it, people will stare
Anyway, he’s paying for it
So down the road I go
Shifting up through the gears
Haulin’ a heavy load

What you doing writing poems while you are driving?! heehee.
Good write AP>
Oh not me Orchi. I would never do that. I'm a safe poet. Hands on the keyboard at all times. ; )
Keep dumping those words here on your site, to liven our days and keep us entertained
I have my orders. Time to get to work. Thanks suresh. ; )
10-4, man – You sound reliable. When you’ve dumped that lot would you do a words job for me?
You could specialize – cleaner work than gravel sand and dirt.
Good honest toil AP.
Thanks
No trouble - too easy....
Great write AP, keep those words travelling through the world and all will be delighted.
Andy
Thank you Andy. I appreciate your positive feedback. ; )
my mind started clapping
in poetic geek-giddy, delight
from the 2nd stanza
so rewarding, to see you
pushing on that creativity boundary
keep striving, keep growing
and keep having fun! dear poet
Awesome!
genuinely, so happy for you
LB, I'm not Jack. This poem isn't about my being a truck driver. Although I might be confused with the guy who hired Jack. Thanks for the read and compliment. ; )
