In the Midnight Hour

Accidental Poet

Doesn’t seem that long ago

When we were just kids in school

And you didn’t know

How you taught me the golden rule

My secret and mine alone

How I dreamed of you at night

My arms surrounding you

And you holding me so tight

I’d have given the world to you

If it were mine to give

Falling in love with you

Was deeply instinctive

Within my heart

You’re a monumental tower

Filling my dreams

In the midnight hour

It's a story that is more than 50 years in the making suresh. She made my heart smile then, and still today. Thanks for the read and comment. ; )

Long ago yes, but still like yesterday. And as Todd Rundgren's song says, "The Dream Goes On Forever". Thanks Andy ; )
