Forever My Brightest Star

Accidental Poet

Sharon, I hope your life is happy

Filled with family love

All you’ve ever wanted

All you’ve ever dreamed of

But should you long to find me

I’ll be here waiting for you

Trust you’ll be successful

If your heart tells you to

Just follow your heart

Listen for my whispers of love

You’ll know where to find me

If you trust in stars above

For it’s those same stars

I’ve wished on for many years

And I trust in them

If you ask, they’ll lead you here

 I shall welcome you

At your own pace

I’ll expect no more of you

Than the smile upon your face

And when you’ve lost that smile

I’ll hold you close

Heal you with undying love

Return that smile right under your nose

But should my love for you

Keep you at bay

No need to feel guilty

If you need to walk away

I’ll always love and respect you

For the beautiful spirit you are

Shining ever brighter

Forever my brightest star

    Good write AP.

How the heart longs for the perfection once found and taken away by circumstance. No matter what else happens in our lives, the hunger to reclaim the magic becomes the theme music to our dreams.

Wishing you the wonder of that most special of meetings one day.

That first crush, always leave the heart wanting and in its wake paint imaginations.

Yes suresh, a 54 year old crush. Always reminds me of a movie called "Forever Young" with Mel Gibson. Thanks for the read and comment. ; )

Wonderful words AP, love can be so powerful even after so many, many years. May your arms embrace her one day.
