Griddly Smetheltons Great Big Sneeze

Saxon Crow

Griddly Smethelton from Boffington town
Sneezed so hard he blew the place down
Poor Mrs Duckers' knickers flew off
While Mr Von Sneppick copped a good look
Ipsy Mcskiggins lost all of her hair
While the Grundley twins were swept in the air
And the Mayor of the town was in a terrible state
He swallowed his food as well as the plate
All of the firemen from Colerutter Row
Clutched to their pole and wouldnt let go
While PC Porpoodle hung on to a rail
But was blown so hard he landed in jail
Poor Griddly Smethelton the town was a mess
And sneezing so hard left him choking for breath
It was such an uproar a noisey affair
And everyone near him were shaken to death
But once it was over and all had calmed down
They turned and saw who had made such a sound
And standing there with a hand on his nose
Stood Griddly Smethelton as red as a rose
And gingerly he removed his snot ridden hand
And wiped his nose clean upon the bandstand
"Oops" he replied "what a to do.
At least, on the brightside, it wasn't a poo!"

Well you certainly got into the swing, Sax. Just hit me where my sense of humor is located (don't ask!) Special request: Could you chuck in one of these every so often - I'm sure it would keep more than just me amused.

Took me back to my childhood, reading Enid Blyton...reminded me of PC Goon. Thank you for sharing. 🙂

A beautifully written "silly little fairy tale" here, I was smiling all the way through.

I hope that poor Griddly and all concerned, are well; after the biological cyclone.

I can definitely see this being dramatised or animated, Cbeebies or CITV will be screaming out for this.

Bravo, and I hope that all is well!

Me thinks, you should surely have it considered for something
