Through a Child’s Eyes

Accidental Poet

A child sees the world

Through innocent eyes

But care must be used

Teachings of the wise

For love to be taught

And confidence freely given

So as not to be locked

Within the heart’s prison

A child must not learn

To be weak of heart

For love is essential

Life’s most important part

Dreaming of a life

Filled of wonder

Vibrant visions seen

Curious of the thunder

In growing up

A child will learn of hate

But vital of his teachings

Listen of what his heart states

In the real world

Love is the universal ties

When the world smiles

Through a child’s eyes

A compelling read of what a little child teaches to those who look and listen A.P.

That last stanza is so very true AP, the innocence that shines through a child's eyes is so endearing. If only it could be seen in adults as well.
