A Labor of Love

Accidental Poet

The written word

Be it read or spoken

Originated in the heart

An emotional token

The heart’s conveyor belt

Fed by lyrical wheels

Delivers the written goods

Expressively it congeals

And within the heart

If it passes the test

It’ll move on down the line

To join with the rest

Your soul now invested

In poetic prose

Nurtured with passion

Metamorphosed into a rose

But a smile begins to grow

Knowing its origins of

The written word

A labor of love
