What if an Alien
knocked on your door
would you be shocked
at the intrusion?
"Just Hang on will Yah",
"The eggs are burning".
Would Google do
a translation?
Perhaps, perhaps not.
Perhaps DuckDuckGo?
Hand gestures may work,
but what if the being
had tentacles?
What if the being had
no eyes as such,
no ears to hear
a conversation?
Blurts to blob,
hand gestures, grunts,
sighs of surprise,
clearly fall flat
for such
a momentous occasion.
"Can you call back tomorrow?"
"When I'm dressed."
"The kids would like to meet Yah."
I'll be better prepared,
next time.

They are out there just laughing at the way we treat our world.
Andy
I laugh with them from my hot tub at night!
The reply is under, just thought be a bridge as you do.... to da loo
So true. Cheers
Your fun poem does nothing to convince me that the BBC is not going down the gurgler if that's the best they can come up with as 'news', John.
Its historic footage from 1994.
Fantastically fun, I'm not sure what I do. Probably offer them a cuppa of my favourite brew and even give a biscuit or two.
Loved the flow
Thanks very much for your kind words. It is spooky that humans think that all aliens look like them. It's a big world outta there.
Good write, F.F
I offer, as a talking point, the thesis that UFO’s are not Aliens but abandoned space probes that have been flying through the galaxy for millions of years. When they zip into the heliopause of a solar system they wake up and do what they are programed to do.
I have written two short stories exploring this thesis.
Brink of Perdition and Cat and Mouse

Thanks, will do, Cheers. I think aliens have always been here with us, unseen, not caring for our trivialities. We will never be able to see or feel them.
