A Supersonic Hero

Accidental Poet

R.I.P.

Chuck Yeager

Feb 13, 1923 - Dec 07, 2020 (age 97)

Born of a daring nature

Unafraid of the unknown

Always pushing the limits

Fearless of the danger zone

A legendary test pilot

An ace in the skies

A leader in victory

When challenges arise

Before there were astronauts

There was Chuck Yeager

Cooler than cool

The demon dragon slayer

Named after his lovely wife

“Glamorous Glennis”

The Bell X-1 blazing the skies to

Break the sound barrier and befriend it

Punching a hole in the sky

Was his idea of fun

The world’s greatest pilot

There can be only one

A Supersonic Hero

Is how history remembers you

But so much more of Chuck Yeager

Inspiring young minds anew
