Questions bring answers to survive

Poetic Dan

Questions came up, to ask back what I gave away to survive...

my inner spirit to live another day as deep down I am done.

The main reason I give all I have every day is that maybe I'll not be here tomorrow!

This was not to embrace every moment but to make sure I am not forgotten..

Next is my desire to endless escape this reality and drift

Unable to ever truly connect without drowning in it first

Becoming a slave to the object setting me free

I gave away love to be in many places I didn't want to be

To young to understand the damage of hidden authenticity

No going back to a life that was now not a part of me

Forever to feel alone amongst friends and family

Only the strongest will survive navigating the 7 seas

May my answers bring calmness within a lighthouse to just be

Where every kiss is not the end but a beautiful beginning

  • Comment from author about the poem: This came up on podcast and won't lie that after heard it and repeated it I cried, turned it off until the evening and sat quietly in the evening. Next day was still a bit low until I wrote all this down and now I'm ready to let go, asking back for what I need and definitely no more! Hopefully soon I can live what I tattooed on....

(these - your words, sing: regret's soundtrack
to my youthful days of floundered opportunity
and blindly chosen path of counterfeit integrity...)

I'm honoured you joined me in a past adventure down memory lane! It's slowly becoming therapeutic to me, as you truly help when listening to my rambling plee.

      Always appreciated

When the beauty comes from within, it's reflected back to the source. Dan, you are the hero within. 👍

We all move on in our lives Dan and you have moved on so far into a place where love and beauty are all around you as they will be again tomorrow and all the days of your long life to come.
