She sings the blues
Comes out as pure gold
Even plays a mean guitar
Her destiny foretold
Her voice of sultry passion
When she digs so deep
Her name is Susan Tedeschi
Give her the microphone to keep
With her bandmates
The Tedeschi Trucks Band
They’ll have you movin’ and groovin’
Right there where you stand
I know my Muse is in tune
As she sways to that sound
The voice of an Angel
Every time she comes around
She can sing with the best
All the greats at her side
And mark my word
She’ll take you by surprise
Oh yeah
The blues are in her soul
Give her a good listen
She’ll do more than pay the toll
And she’s no rookie

Oh, let’s give a big hand for
