Lovesight.
I know I have been here before
but yet cannot tell when.
I feel the force of fate calling
from a state unexpected.
I know we have spoken before
in some distant age
and when the veil of blur falls
I almost evoke your face.
We two have made contact before
and with instinct winching
more open that deja-vu-door
I sense other beginnings.
I know we shared lovesight before
in that timeless exchange
when former heartbeats caught
fire and the feeling remains.

Dear Fay - I remember a quote from the movie Perfect Storm: "there is only love, Christina, there is only love"........... maybe love has a life of it's own that floats in the universe....
Yes - who knows where love goes dear Lorna - and to those who have experienced the strange feeling of meeting a stranger who seems to have been far more long ago it begs many questions - thank you my friend for your visit and comment.
'We two have made contact before

I know we shared lovesight
before
in that timeless exchange
when former eye contact
caught-fire
and the feeling remains.'
a love song, supreme
beautifully worded, as-ever dear Fay
thank you!
A love song with history is what I intended in these few lines L.B. and your pen picked out my currently favoured word of "Lovesight" - --- so pleased you found the message in the last stanza too - - many thank yous for your constantly generous reviews.
The shudder of recognition as a soulmate from previous life crosses our path. The wonder of recognition when deep held hidden truths reveal themselves like electric shocks and answers fall in to moments of truth..... then blown in the wind of conscious wisdom, was it a dream after all.
I took your words and danced with them. A warm rewarding frolick into depths this earthly consciousness does not allow.
Yes- -- soul-mates from previous lives is a mighty deep subject on which my pen merely scratched a few lines of metaphor......... but am glad the read set you dancing dear Dusk.
these words fill this old scribbler with hope
.................................................. 🙂
there may yet still be time ........ N
Keep that hope going and who knows what morrows may bring mi amigo.............x
Excellent write, Fay.
Yours and Neville’s poem today make an interesting connection for me. Not sure just why yet. Thanks for the view.
So glad you found something interesting in the offerings today Jerry - - I found too that the image I used was very telling.
Good write Fay.

You captured this feeling so beautifully in words.
Yes sometimes a stranger can cause veils to fall and it seems crazy to think we have known them for ages. Thank you loads Hannah for your visit and comment on Lovesight - -
I know it seems crazy, but I get the impression from your poetry that you're in tune with your insight, or energies, or whatever you want to call it. Like there's some sort of ancient wisdom that you've tapped into.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
For love to call upon the same two souls in different lifetimes is intriguing Fay. And you romanticized it so well here. 💕
Many thanks A.P. for adding these words on Lovesight to your list of favourites - and yes the subject of "soul-mates" is truly intriguing.
I have been there and is lasted for nearly forty years. She is still with me in Spirit.
Andy
