Life With Nature.

Goldfinch60

I awake each morning

And each morning it is darker

As Summer begins to recede its brightness

And the wonder of Autumn is due.

That beautiful time of the year

Where Nature brings its artwork to the fore,

Painting my world with such vivid colours,

The yellows, oranges and reds,

Interspersed with greens and browns,

With the blue and white of the sky

Floating above all our world,

All my world

As Natures artwork fills my dreams,

My dreams of colour and love throughout,

Throughout my wonderful life with Nature.

    Good write Gold.
And now the hymn: 'When morning gilds the sky'.

      I'll sing it! Not you!

Phew! That's OK then, cos there's about 6 verses to it!
Well, I did sing it passing by some fields, hearing church bells in the distance. No one heard me - lol.

            fleeting, our 'long summers'
            aren't they? dear poet
            but like all-things
            gone, in a blink
            we do cherish them more
            for their: elusivity..
            thanks for sharing, Andy

Dear Andy I for one am with you on loving Nature and Autumn - I'm glad the harshest light is gone - it picks up every imperfection - and now the evening makes home look like a shimmering stage setting! Just by the by every time I hear this piece of music I jump and say "Swan Lake"! (I love Tchaikovsky having danced for years when I was very young) but indeed it is not and never has been old T - will I ever get it through my head - at least it's about Swans!

              • Goldfinch60

                Wonderful thoughts Lorna, thank you.

Natures golden reward, autumn, a reminder that seasons of life are perpetual. A beautifully painted poem.

                      A fine write, Andy.
I find it amazing how some days, over distance and time, we all pick similar themes.
