Starquest

Accidental Poet

In the vast expanse of darkened night

Beyond my reach, a twinkling of starlight

For the sky I reach out my hand

To touch this beacon of light from where I stand

Within answers to questions I dare not ask

‘Tis in a sea of love I long to bask

And from my heart, so much to give

For receiving is of only half enough to live

A heart confined unto itself needs to share

To find another heart, someone for who to care

Shine on you bright and shining star

Starlight of love, I know you are

You seem to shine brighter every night

In you my heart sees such a beautiful sight

Someday I’ll hold you in my arms

For now I’m content just being lost in your charms

It’s in your starlight that I invest

In my heart is this vision of Starquest

I could see it to a hymn tune, adapted a bit, if you wish?
What's that you say? 'Yes, as long as YOU don't sing it!' heehee.

So true AP, each star is a loved one that has moved on and waiting for somebody to join them.
