Someone More Golden
Have you ever wondered
how it might feel to be no one
to be nowhere and nothing
..
Unknown and unloved
not just presumed missing
but gone and completely
..
Well that is precisely how I feel
this autumn, having been dismissed
and exchanged for someone more golden ..

Hmm i think i begin to know all these moods Neville. For my personna adjusts to my whereabouts and the task, or lack of it, in hand. Not a split personality you understand, just conscience adjusting to the vibrations around myself.
Little bemused by your last stanza. Is this self inflicted or has someone exchanged you. I like to think you're describing a self improving spiritual upgrade but I'm unsure.

Aha! I re-read and see. Well Neville, you're a wise old bird and have trod a long path through the camoflaged traps and minefields of hope and pleasures we call life. Temporary feelings of shite are a springboard to better days ahead.... always the way cos the alternatives ain't for the likes of you and me.
Besides which, shite times improve our poetry no end.

Hope you are just wondering Nev. and not really experiencing the saddest exchange in the world of romance. A feel of despair to this haunt of a read.

Let’s think of it this way…
1kt worth of gold is nothing more than a ploy to market something as gold while being significantly cheaper; not worth pursuing…IMHO.
To quote Shakespeare…
‘All that glisters is not gold.’
