Some Memories Never Fade

Accidental Poet

I remember you

Back in the day

When we were both so young

How you smiled that way

Just two kids in school

And me, so in love with you

Though you didn’t know

I promised my heart was true

Like a movie playing

On the big screen in my mind

All my memories of you

I lovingly rewind

No other joy I’d ever known

Could ever compare to you

For you have always been

My heart’s Queen so true

Certain memories are meant to be

And others slowly fall away

In the course of a lifetime

Some memories never fade

    Good write AP.
How come ya remember me? I forgot ya years ago. A fine friend I am! lol.
Bit more serious, but from a comedy film: 'I thought you was dead; if I had not have seen ya, I never would have known'. Doh!
